The OJ Corral
David Reeves Carpenter has released a country album with a breakout Western single titled "Ballad of Billy the Kid." It was written by Bob Dylan for the soundtrack of the 1973 film, Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, starring Kris Kristofferson. If you enjoy country music, you're sure to enjoy the whole CD. It's titled Under the Influence, and it has some cuts that are sure to please, like "Road Kill Cafe, "Crocodile Creek (Part II)" and "Daleana," but if you're looking for a traditional cowboy ballad done up in contemporary style, you need go no further. Listen to this one about Billy the Kid. You can hear it on many of the radio stations throughout the West and mid-west that play Western music, or sample it here on this web site.
